Who is going to see Whip It?

Whip It, starring Ellen Page (Juno), Alia Shawkat (Bart Got a Room), Marcia Gay Harden (Into the Wild), and Landon Pigg, focuses on a girl, Page, who finds her new passion of roller derby, whilst avoiding a painstakinly, beauty-pageant-obsessed mother, Harden, dealing with the grief of her small town, and falling for a rock musician, Pigg. This film, directed by first-time movie director, Drew Barrymore, is another movie that all the indie kids will like.


The soundtrack to the movie will keep you moving, as it includes Peaches, Cut Chemist, and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah.

Funny side note, just as Landon Pigg plays a musician in the movie, he is also a musical artist outside of the film world and is included in the soundtrack as well.
