Chin Up, Walk Tall: Best Colors for Fall

Colorize.
Last February, New York brought us Fashion week. During the shows, we got to see a glimpse of the new colors and looks coming this fall/winter 2009/2010.
And now, I bring you the top 5 colors for Fall 2009 from the major Ready to Wear collections:

1) "Dirty Sidewalk" Gray
Marc Jacobs Fall 2009 rtw
Used mostly in tops, sweaters, or cardigans, gray is one of this fall's major colors.
It gives a nitty-gritty dirty feel to any look.

2) Pale Creamy White
Burberry Prorsum Fall 2009 rtw
The whites and cream colors are used for skirts, dresses, and scarves this fall.
Creams and whites are used this fall to create a sense of innocence and peacefulness.

3) "Double Espresso" Brown
Hermès Fall 2009 rtw
The dark browns, perfect for fall time due to the falling leaves and bare trees, are used for jackets or sweaters.
Also, the dark browns are most definitely used for boots and flats this winter as well.

4) Jet Black
Givenchy Fall 2009 rtw
Black is always in style, especially in SF or NY.
Black shoes, pants, tights, and gloves are showing up a lot this season.

5) "Robust Rust" Red
Bottega Veneta Fall 2009 rtw
Red always shows up for fall colors, it seems.
Red lipstick, v-neck t-shirts, and sweaters are predominant this fall.

But what was the biggest blowout of New York's Fashion Week for Fall 2009?
BLACK AND WHITE PRINTS.
Marc Jacobs, Anna Sui, Alexander McQueen, Diane von Furstenburg: all Fall 2009 rtw
Black and white patterns were a really big trend on the runway for Fall 2009.
Tights and dresses with B&W patterns seem to be the most popular look for the cold and dreary season, so mix up any outfit with some B&W plaid, polka dots, checkers, or prints!
