X, Y, Zoo time

If you live in the city and need a cheap date or an inexpensive day out then you should visit the zoo! My boyfriend and I went to the San Francisco Zoo yesterday, and it has tons of interesting animals and wild life. Many peacocks, as well, just wander around the area since it's too hard to keep them all in a cage. I must have seen around 4 different ones while we were there.

Surprisingly, very little people were at the zoo, so many animals weren't shy when we came up to look at them. Try and go on a day when busloads of children aren't pulling up, so the animals won't be so scared to come closer.

My favorite animal was the polar bear.

The San Francisco Zoo is only $12 a day for San Francisco residents, or $15 if not.

View their website here.

I just need to say, I withheld myself making a "Where the Wild Things are" comment the entire time.

  1. I used to go there all the time to draw! Super fun. You know, my girlfriend lives like, two blocks away. Next time you guys want to go we should double-date or something, haha--there's a great soup place on haight we could hit up before or after.

Hey, I heard about teavana. That's such a bummer, but I can relate--there's a way to talk to people respectfully and I feel like a lot of supervisors in retail don't understand that.

  2. Oh, that sounds like fun. We only got to explore a part of the zoo, so we need to go again! Soup in the winter is one of my favorite things to do as well! Sounds like a plan.

And thank you very much. I appreciate the kind words.
