Rainbow It Up

Since gay pride happened a while back and Prop 8 was deemed unconstitutional yesterday, I decided to do a post all about colorful, rainbow-inspired fashion. Also since the sun is out, there is no reason to wear dark colors since Summer is the best time to show off floral prints and striking colors.

Many designers like to stick with a couple shades of color when sending girls down the runway (For example, Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel), so for summer I like to pick more girly, fun designers such as Betsy Johnson, Anna Sui, or Valentino.

Notice that although many of the pieces have harsh and dark colors, they are mixed in with neons, brights, or white. If you're going to have dark purples, blues, or greens for the next couple months, mix it with cream or white colored garments to mix and match. The reason for doing this is to bring out the natural colors of the fabric and to accentuate the features of the outfit during the hot season.

Enjoy.
